This is an absolutely beautiful proof that relates e, i, pi, and 1 in a single equation:

      e ^ (i * x) = cosx + isinx
      

      e ^ (i * pi) = cos(pi) + isin(pi) = -1
      

      e ^ (i * pi) + 1 = 0
